Hotel in Tarapith – Holidaying in a Sacred Town

Tarapith is one of the most well-known and travelled pilgrim spots on the West Bengal travel and tourism guide. It is nestled in the district of Birbhum and in the lap of natural greeneries on all hands, wearing a decent and quaint look throughout the year. Tarapith is a town and has emerged as a hotshot travelled spot for the pious Hindus who throng here in a larger number.

Tarapith is also close to Shantiniketan, the dream project of poet and philosopher Rabindranath Tagore. Labhpur, the birth place of Tarashankar Bandyopadhyay, is also within a short distance from Tarapith. Most of the tourists, who visit Tarapith to seek blessing from goddess Tara, also travel those above-stated spots and it is just like killing two birds with a single stone.

Over the years, the number of Tarapith-bound travelers has almost exploded and we can witness quick emergence of several hotels to accord a heartiest welcome to the guests. Now let us face a difficult challenge of picking up the right hotel in Tarapith.

There are five-star hotels

It springs no surprise or shock that Tarapith is almost dominated by hotels and restaurants. Hotels provide both food and lodging while the restaurants only serve to the taste buds of the travelers. Five-star hotels are only a few in Tarapith and it is quite expected as well-heeled tourists constitute a fraction of the total devotees visiting this small town.

Five-star hotels swear by luxury and opulence in every corner within their complex. Extravaganza in every aspect from furnishing to food is their unique signature. These hotels are usually built over a larger area that accommodates garden, car parking space, restaurants, common lounge and even entertainment halls.
Five star or boutique hotels feature chic interiors and also interesting exterior look. They provide only the best things that can satisfy their guests with pampering comfort and luxury. True it is that you have to pay a heavy price to experience that comfort, luxury and heavenly hospitality but that spending is justified.

There are budget hotels

As most of the pilgrims come from low-to-middle socio-economic background, so Tarapith has more budget hotels than their luxury counterparts. Single or double-bed room facilities are easily available here and it is up to you to make a choice. These days, even the budget hotels provide air-conditioned rooms but you will be charged extra to enjoy that added comfort.

Budget hotels also maintain a certain standard in their decoration and food to keep the clients satisfied. Separate and attached bathrooms are provided though in most of these hotels, many share a common balcony. Tarapith is getting dingy with every passing day and usually these low-cost hotels are wedged between two buildings or restaurants. That may feel suffocating as people always love a larger space for fresh breath.

Final Say

It matters little where you want to stay but it matters most that you must do booking in advance. As the town is always crowded with pious people from several corners of India, so every hotel in Tarapith is choke-a-bloke with travelers. To get a room of your preference, reservation in advance is the only way to go.
